Love Promise Stories from Subaru World of Hackettstown

Every month, we select inspiring stories from customers and partners from around our area who strive to support our collective commitment and feature them here.

Subaru Service Toy Drive - Karen H.

What a wonderful team you have at your Service Dept. I came in for my oil chance at Subaru World of Hackettstown and noticed the Toy Donation Box. Sally explained to my why and where you bring the toys for the holiday. I also noticed the dog donation box as well. It's so nice to see my dealership helping local charities. Happy Holidays! Karen

Mens Mission - Mark G.

Thank you Subaru World of Hackettstown for the generous donation to our mission! As a men's only shelter we provide housing for Sussex County and the surrounding area's as needed. We are a small but mighty mission. These boxes of socks are a great edition for these guys when they walk in.

Animal Food and Supply drive - Barbara D.

Being a foster based rescue we are always in need of supplies. Food, toys, cleaning supplies are just a few of the donations we look for. After speaking with Subaru they decided a donation drive before the holidays would be a great idea. We were so excited for this opportunity. AS a volunteer it's so nice to see the local community business's get invovled!

Teddy Bear Rally 2023 - Peter S.

Our annual ‘Toys for Tots’ Teddy Bear Road Rally, hosted by Northern New Jersey Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) was a HUGE sucess again this year. Even with the weather not beng it's best the turn out was incredible. This year marked year 11 being hosted by Subaru Hackettstown. We can't wait until next year!

Thank you, Subaru World of Hackettstown for your support! - Nicole K.

Every year we have the pleasure of partnering with Subaru World of Hackettstown whether it’s holding adoption events, collaborating for donations, and other support they are always there for us! They are always our biggest cheerleaders and there to lend a helping hand whenever we need help! This year they surpassed our expectations and organized a great event where some of our longtimers found their forever home. Cold Nose Warm Heart and their volunteers and adopters can’t say enough kind things about them! Their love for animals and their dedication to support the cause is evident in all they do for us throughout the year!

Potato Found Her Furever! - Alissa S.

Cold Nose Warm Heart paired with Subaru World of Hackettstown for an amazing event on October 7, 2023. We also collaborated with Lovable Puppy Spa who groomed and pampered our fosters to get them ready for the big event, had a mini raffle/tricky tray and giveaways galore! Eli and Jordan were adopted from our event, we were so happy to see these two puppies find their forever homes! We got a lot of attention for some of our adoptable pets from advertising through Subaru at the event as well as via social media and many more went home as a result of this partnership in the days to follow! Our biggest adoption success was our deaf senior chihuahua Potato getting adopted! We have had Potato in foster care for over 4 months and she found her home as a result of our event at Subaru World of Hackettstown! Our partnership doesn't begin and end in October, we have things planned all year through! Please stay tuned for our holiday wish list collaboration and spring event of Cinco de Doggo! We truly appreciate Subaru World of Hackettstown and their dedicated employees who truly try to make a difference! You can tell that they care and we can't thank them enough!

Helping Keep High Quality Cancer Care Close to Home - Lisa D.

Thanks to the generosity of Subaru World of Hackettstown, the Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center has been able to allocate additional funds to important patient-centered programs and projects here at Hackettstown Medical Center. For example, additional patient treatment areas were recently added to Hackettstown Medical Center's Outpatient Infusion Therapy Center. The Outpatient Infusion Center has never been as busy as it is now, and funding was provided via donations from Subaru's Share the Love campaign and sponsorships from special events such as our Colors for Cancer Fun Run/Walk. This much-needed expansion allows even more patients to receive infusions of chemotherapy, hydration, and antibiotics close to home, in a safe, high-quality, state-of-the-art medical facility. We're proud and grateful to be a charity of choice for Subaru World of Hackettstown's Share the Love Program. Thank you, Subaru, for sharing the love in such meaningful ways for the benefit of your communities!

Subaru World of Hackettststown Shares the Love with Cold Nose Warm Heart! - Alissa S.

Through our partnership with Subaru World of Hackettstown, we adopted out 56 animals throughout the month of October. We also collaborated throughout the year to help our dogs and cats find loving forever homes and spread the word about Subaru and their promise to help the animals! Thanks to the support of Subaru World of Hackettstown, we were able to adopt out 56 dogs and cats during the month of October. It was a huge success! One of our favorite adoption stories from October was Scout! Scout was surrendered to us after an unsuccessful adoption, he was sad and confused. His soon to be new owners arrived at Subaru and told us they could hardly sleep with how excited they were. The only concern was if their dog and Scout would be a match! They hit it off right away! The new owners were delighted and have since sent us many positive updates. It is safe to say that Scout has finally found his furever home! "Scout, now McDuff has been doing great, he is so much fun, the best thing I did. He might be the sweetest dog ever and makes himself comfortable anywhere. He follows me everywhere. He sits, gives paw, lays down and today brought us his harness because he wanted to go on a walk. We are working on stay. We are having so much fun with him and Fredo is a younger version of himself, they are always together." Thank you Subaru World of Hacketsttstown for helping us to find Scout the perfect new home!

Subaru & Moms Helping Moms working to end diaper need in NJ - Meredith C.

Moms Helping Moms (MHM) was thrilled to be a recipient of the 2021 Subaru Share the Love Event donation from Subaru World of Hackettstown. The funds were allocated toward our Healthy Start for Babies Program. We were able to purchase 14,000 diapers, which supports 560 babies. In recent years MHM has seen a sustained increase in diaper need across New Jersey and are very grateful for the support of the Share the Love Program to help our efforts to keep babies clean, dry and healthy. “Diaper need affects one in three families in the U.S. Chances are we all know someone, or have been the person, who has or will experience the struggle to afford diapers. Moms Helping Moms is here to help parents and raise awareness about the critical role that diapers play in the health and well-being of families,” states Co-Founder Megan Deaton. “We are thrilled to be selected again as a beneficiary of the Subaru Share the Love Event by Subaru World of Hackettstown. Proceeds help to achieve our mission of addressing diaper need in our local communities."

Toys for Tots 2021 Teddy Bear Road Rally - Peter S.

December 5, 2021 marked the 31st annual ‘Toys for Tots’ Teddy Bear Road Rally, hosted by Northern New Jersey Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). This year’s sponsor and the sponsor for the past nine years was the Subaru dealership in Hackettstown, New Jersey. Over 90 individuals in forty-one (41) vehicles attended this year’s event and help raise over $1,500 in toys for the USMC Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Over the last thirty-one year the event has raised close to $30,000 in toys for the program. The Teddy Bear Car Rally is the longest running charity rally associated with the SCCA and the longest running event hosted by Northern New Jersey Region. ‘Toys for Tots’ began in 1947, when Major Bill Hendricks, and a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children. The idea came from Bill’s wife, Diane. In the fall of 1947, Diane crafted a homemade doll and asked Bill to deliver the doll to an organization, which would give it to a needy child at Christmas. When Bill determined that no agency existed, Diane told Bill that he should start one. He did. The 1947 pilot project was so successful that the Marine Corps adopted ‘Toys for Tots’ in 1948 and expanded it into a nationwide campaign. For more information about the event or car rallying in general, please feel free to contact Peter Schneider at NJRALLYE@AOL.COM

Subaru of Hackettstown Cares! - Alissa S.

We were so excited to have an onsite adoption event after the past 1 1/2 years of not being able to have public events. The energy and enthusiasm the team of Subaru World of Hackettstown exuded was amazing. They went above in beyond in marketing the event and getting to know each of our dogs. You can tell they really cared and wanted to help each and every one of them get adopted. They formulated a plan for continued help with adoptions after the events were over to help find homes for the harder to adopt dogs as well. We are so appreciative of their teamwork! It takes a village and we are glad to have Subaru World of Hackettstown as part of ours :)
